报告人简介:
Dr.Mailizar is a lecturer at the Mathematics Education Department of Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia. He was an Oberlin Shansi visiting scholar at Oberlin College, Ohio, in 2008 and a USAID scholarship awardee at James Madison University, the United States, where he earned his master degree in Educational Technology. Mailizar holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Southampton, the United Kingdom. His PhD research examined mathematics teachers’ knowledge and practices in the integration of ICT in the secondary mathematics classroom. His research interest also includes mathematics textbooks and other mathematics learning resources.
Mailizar博士是印度尼西亚Syiah Kuala大学数学教育系的讲师。他于2008年在俄亥俄州奥伯林学院(Oberlin College)担任Oberlin Shansi访问学者,并在美国詹姆斯麦迪逊大学(James Madison University)获得美国国际开发署(USAID)奖学金,取得教育技术硕士学位。Mailizar拥有英国南安普顿大学数学教育博士学位,他的博士论文考察了数学教师在中学数学课堂中整合信息交流技术的知识和实践。他的研究兴趣还包括数学教科书和其他数学学习资源。
报告摘要:
To put my talk into the Indonesian context, I will begin my presentation by describing teachers and curriculum reform in Indonesia. Then, I will discuss about Indonesian teachers’ knowledge and classroom practices in the use of ICT in secondary mathematics teaching as well as to examine the relationship between teachers’ knowledge and their classroom practices. In addition, I will also describe about barriers faced by Indonesian teachers to using ICT in their classrooms. To end this talk, I will highlight the implication of the study for practice and directions for future research in Indonesia.
